AI orchestration
tuned to your home.

Most "smart home" installs are a box with an app. We install the hardware AND write the custom AI layer that ties every compatible device into one system — learns your routines, runs locally so it works when the internet's down, supports it when life changes. Residential and small commercial. Murphy NC area.

What's actually different

01
Custom AI orchestration layer, not just a hub setup. The piece that ties Alexa + cameras + locks + lights into one system that runs on its own.
02
Local-first by default — internet drops, your home still works. Cameras run on-device, automations stay on-prem. Cloud only when it earns its keep.
03
Equipment, your choice: we supply at trade pricing, you supply and we install + program, or hybrid per device. No platform lock-in.
04
One person, one phone number. Design, install, configure, support. Geek Squad routes you to a call center; here you call Preacher.
▸ 01

Wiring + finish

Running new circuits and low-voltage cabling through finished walls. Code-compliant, hidden, looks like it was meant to be there.

▸ 02

Integration debugging

The reason DIY smart homes break: device A doesn't talk to device B because nobody chose the right architecture. We own that decision.

▸ 03

Tuning + support

First 6 months of tuning included. After that, optional retainer when seasons / devices / routines change. Things drift; the support keeps it sharp.

what we install
core · 70% of projects

Security cams + smart locks

AI cameras that know motion from a delivery, smart locks with one-time codes, geo-fence triggers. Local processing on Frigate-grade hardware so footage stays yours.

$2.5–5k bundle
climate

HVAC + climate automation

Smart thermostats, zone-aware schedules, occupancy logic. The category where DIY usually fails — wiring complexity, multi-zone integration. Typical installs cut HVAC bills 10–25%.

$800–2k installed
lighting

Lighting + scenes

Smart switches, dimmers, color, full scenes. Movie night / dinner / away / kid-bedtime fire automatically or on a single voice cue. Entry point for whole-home automation.

$1.5k+ per zone
str / vacation rental

AirBnB / STR package

Self check-in via one-time codes, thermostat auto-adjusts at booking gaps, security cameras log access, departure mode runs on its own. Hands-off owner, happy guests.

$4.5–7k + $200/mo
audio · av

Whole-home audio + AV

Sonos or distributed AV, multi-room music, theater integration. Tied into scenes so the right thing plays in the right room at the right time.

$3–8k typical

Energy monitoring

Sense / Emporia / Neurio with AI scheduling. Pair with solar + EV charging if you've got it; coordinate off-peak. Real ROI when the rest of the stack is automated.

$400–1.2k
FOUNDATION
Mesh WiFi + network upgrade. If the WiFi's spotty, none of the rest works. We rebuild the network first when it matters — pro-grade mesh, not a Best Buy box. Often the cheapest fix that makes the biggest difference.

common questions
How does the AI orchestration actually work?

Most installers stop at "the app works." Above the app, we write a layer of rules and logic that takes context into account — time of day, who's home, weather, calendar, recent activity — and fires the right automations without you touching a thing. After 2–3 weeks of tuning it understands your routines. It's not magic AGI — it's deliberately-written orchestration that's tuned to your specific house and devices.

Where do you work?

Murphy NC and the surrounding tri-state region (~50 mile radius). Further travel possible for the right project.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes — three options per project. Supply: we buy at trade pricing and include in the quote (cleanest, single accountability). BYO: you buy direct, we install + program. Hybrid: some of each — best when you already own a few good devices but the rest needs to be specced fresh. We'll tell you straight which gear is worth keeping and which we'd swap.

What platforms do you support?

Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Home Assistant (our preferred core), Hubitat, SmartThings. Most projects end up with a Home Assistant core plus whichever voice ecosystem you already use — gives you the most flexibility without lock-in.

What about privacy — is everything sent to the cloud?

No. Local-first is the default. Cameras run on-device person/package detection (Frigate-grade, your footage stays yours). Automations run on the local hub, not a vendor cloud. You can add cloud features when they earn their keep — remote access, AI alerts to your phone — but the system keeps working if the internet's out.

Ongoing support after install?

First 6 months of tuning + support are included. After that, optional $100–200/mo retainer — devices change, your routines change, seasons change, the AI layer needs to keep up. Cancel anytime. Or one-time fix-its at hourly when things break, your call.

What's the install timeline?

Discovery → proposal in 24 hours. After you say yes: small projects (1 room) typically 1–2 days on-site. Whole-home installs 3–7 days depending on wiring scope. We schedule honestly — won't book you for next week if I'm three jobs deep.

Do you sign a contract?

Yes — scope, equipment, price, timeline, support window all in writing. The "while-you're-here" trap is real; locking scope upfront keeps it from blowing up the budget. Add-ons get priced separately and approved before we do them.
